H&M reloaded – Isabel Marant guest designer for FW 2013 capsule collection

The other day I was in awe for their courage and success as creative team which designed one of the most coherent collections for their own label…Now, I’m speechless! It’s good! It’s great! I love Isabel Marant! And all her … Continue reading

Classic cuts and masculine inspiration. Decadent and obviously more mature designs. H&M reaches a new level of finesse and chicness, by interpreting etno and military elements and embracing grey, black, nude, beige and pale salmon nuances. The extensive use of silk, wool, cotton and velvet, overshadowing the golden age of poliester, sheds a new attitude that complements a very well balanced and constructed ready-to-wear collection of key items.

The Fall/Winter 2013 collection will hit the stores on September 5th and was entirely created by the label’s own designers.

So many shoes! Just two feet!

There are endless types, styles, color combinations and material…we have at least four or five sorts of boots – wellies, knee high, thigh high, gladiator, cowboy and riding and of course, the uggs, the timberland and the chelsea boots (one of my favs). Then, there are the pumps, the stilettos, the wedges, the clogs, the crocs, the mules, the slingbacks, the flip flops, the loafers, the converse, the oxfords, the moccasins, the balerina pumps, the strappy ones – t strap, anckle strap…painful strap. The kitten heel, the platform, the scarpin and the peep toe.

Counting at least 40 different must have styles…could you blame a girl for having each of every one?…forgot to mention the running shoes…that must match the jogging outfit, the gym gear and the sportsbag…right?

Food for thought: all those stand out sandals that made the ss 2013 season one of the most wanted ones until now!

Seeing Kate Hudson in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, back in 2003 busted a long learnt myth – that blondes should not wear yellow. Of course, having the right shade of blonde and skin complexion helps to pull off the lawfully “wrong” colors, textures, lengths etc…if such exist.

How sunny, warm, bright, uplifting is this hew? Silk, cashmere, angora, satin, brocard…no matter the material..it still rulled the S/S 2013 runways and will reign over this summer as well. Both the high street and the mainstream brands adore it!

I will dare a yellow dress! still haven’t found one! And the high standards of those in the gallery, really make the search and selection more difficult!
